I Want A Clean Fight

As expected, the headlines of today's National Newspaper is a response to the letter by AP Lee. Apparently the mother of the twins is 'really upset' because of AP Lee's letter and says that she loves the children dearly. It has been confirmed that the father did run out on the family 2 years ago (the bastard) - wonder if he took any of the Singaporean well-wishers' money with him.

It is interesting to note that though many Doctors 'disagreed' with AP Lee, no one wanted to be quoted. I guess we've been brought up with the idea that NO ONE GOES AGAINST A LEE in Singapore.

The majority of the anonymous people 'interviewed' in the streets also disagreed with the good Doctor. Some actually said Doctors should not play God. Ha. Irony. If doctors were not allowed to play God, then think back to the Neanderthal times, where a lot of people would have died because of no access to medicine or health care.

AP Lee is a good person. The HOME section of the paper quotes her as having no problems with seperating the Indonesian twins joined at the hip. She says that with their brains seperate at birth, seperating them now would only give them a better quality of life. I agree.

P.S. The papers say she is a single woman. No she is not. She is a divorcee. It goes to show that even within the most powerful circles in the land there is still the fear of discrimination of having had a failed marriage. Goes to show what the Govt says is not always what the Govt believes. (eg. the Casino)

P.S2. The views held are entirely my own and are expressed as such. There is no intention to defame or to spark libelious discourse. Please don't sue me. And worse. Please don't send ISD officers to my door. Thanks.

P.S3. France has just passed a Bill allowing the Right to Die. This is not euthanasia but the right to refuse treatment. Hooray for human rights everywhere!
