I've always explained the need for persons to be comfortable in their own home, so much so that they don't feel the need to go out even if they don't want to. (the usual reason for leaving the house is because people are bored)
Told this to B3, when he was doing up his room.
Case in point.
A conversation with a colleague today.
"Eh, aren't you going home?"
"No leh, nothing to do at home either."

i know what you mean... i loved my room in Bristol and in London. my London one a little more, not least because of the surroundings. i.e. if i am really bored at home, i can go take a walk along the river, window shop, watch movie, and all very near to home...
i miss Canary Wharf... grr....
