On the Topic of Pee

Still on the topic of pee, I've used this before. The benefits of being a guy. Ha. If I'm not wrong, this picture is taken in front of Central Station in Amsterdam. Posted by Picasa

A Note from a Concerned Friend

My friend Jane, who is a professional counsellor dropped me an email last night. It really meant a lot to me, not only because of the realisation of how much she cares, but also because the note made a lot of sense.

I hope she doesn't mind me sharing her words of wisdom with the world.

~ Please understand the purpose/meaning for you to blog? If you blog to share your private life/thoughts, then be prepare that there's no privacy. If you blog to expect it will help you somehow to resolve your relationship issue, then I can promise you that will not work. If you blog to fill up your emptiness, then it symbolizes more of the emptiness in you that can’t be replaced. If you blog because you have to in order to satisfy people reading your blog, then it’s no longer a creative outlet to share your joy/experience but a chore. ~

She is good.

Determination

This is a heck of a good example of determination and perserverance man. YJ and a colleague foiled and cling wrapped a birthday boy's office. Everything! Including the hand sanitiser and stationery.

The woman has patience. But I'm sure the expression on his face was worth it. Posted by Picasa

Shoot Me in the Head

If I do it again, someone just shoot me in the head.

Never again.

KL Weekend

It was a good weekend spent with friends, in a foreign land. Met very interesting people along the way... Would love to type more, but work is calling. So briefly,

1. Vincent - He is one of EP's friends, who kindly picked us up when we turned up in KL at 4 in the morning. He is a very generous person, who kindly let us crash at his house before sending us to Sepang for the race. He has an amazing car... a Mitsubushi Pajero... it really is the biggest tank car that I've sat in. Pictures soon on why I call it amazing.

2. Mr Hoon - What happened was that there was an oversight on my part. I had not considered how to go back to KLCC after we reached Sepang. Foolishly, I was half expecting that there would be cabs at the track, 40 mins away from KL. Apparently not. Fortunately, EP used her charms and we hitchhiked a ride from this man and his 4 year old son, who were only at the track for 15mins. He gave us a ride halfway to a town, where we got a cab easily.

3. The Cab Driver - The cab driver who picked us up after Mr Hoon dropped us off was hilarious. He asked if we were Chinese, and we said we were not, but rather Taiwanese. It was a beginning of a ride where he was trying to fool tourists, including convincing us that Merderka Day was in January. Oh, and he was convincing me to buy this sex aid, seeing that I had 2 lovely ladies in the car, telling me that he lasted so long that the women cried. Oh, and that Arabs like to 'play backside'... a very, very interesting ride. Oh well, at least he spoke English. Can't say the same for most other people.

4. Juleo - EP picked up a Brazillian footballer who was in KL for leg surgery. He was so into chatting her up that he bought dinner for all of us at Madam Kwans in KLCC. Other funny angles to this story, but I don't think EP would be happy that I'm sharing them.

So what else did we get up to weekend? Met Kelvin who brought us to the paddock, Vincent got us a table at Velvet, had an idyllic evening in the hotel room, seafood in Gelang Patah, JY crawling into the hotel at 5 in the morning after the fight...

It was good. But now its Monday, and I am tired. Sigh... Back to reality.

...

It should hurt to know that I meant so little to you.

That I was just someone who was perhaps just seen as a replacement.

That I was not equilibrium.

That all the things we did, were perhaps just lies.

I should have known after the last time you cried. In my arms, but over him.

It should hurt.

But oddly, it doesn't.

Not anymore.

Cohabitate

To all my friends whom I've said this to. And have agreed / disagreed...

FF has written about it. Read more here.

Yes, there is a need to cohabitate. FF's really lucky to have a mom that agrees.

Take the Piss, Literally.

Apparently, this was awarded some prize for being the best Water Feature in 2005.

Why?

Someone mentioned to me that she was unable to find out anything new about me by the way I write, about the things I write, in recent times.

Its been a lot of irreverant pictures, random ramblings about how little sleep I get...

Oh well, tough. I don't want to not post and just leech off reading other blogs, but I also don't have the energy to post. So I put pictures up instead.

Today I also very tired. Don't feel like working. Will post funnies to perk people (and myself) up.

Sigh...

What was my day like yesterday?

1. Was so sleepy I actually felt drunk. Jos, take note for your sleep deprivation study.

2. Won another bet. I make bets I don't want to win, but when I do, oh well... free food!

3. Ran as fast as I could out of the office when the meeting ended. Gave a metaphorical finger to the office door.

4. Slept well, but 7 hours is still not enough.

5. Thought of Queen last night. Hmm... troubling?

Another day. More challenges. 4 meetings. Sigh.

Utterly Random

Suddenly thought of Cribbs Causeway, the biggest shopping centre in the South-West and 45 mins away from my hostel in Bristol.

The people I went with, how it looked and the fun I had.

Sigh... Monday always does that to me.

TMD

TMD.

My friends went out for coffee last night and apparently one of them knows Fiona Xie, who stopped to chat. I wasn't there.

TMD.

P.S> Would link you the the blog, but its a private blog. Tsk tsk.

P.S2> But still no regrets lah. Had a bottle of wine in Thomson, followed by milo-bing at Gardens with JY and EP. Chill...

P.S3> Slept late, it hurt damn bad to wake up this morning man.

A Show of Patriotism

Tis is the month of August, National Day month. For some reason, perhaps as a show of Patriotism or reverance of a national symbol, I have made at least 4 of my friends go merlion this month.

Well, perhaps I'm just acting out against the fact that there should be more examples of this national icon in Singapore, albeit temporarily and in the dark corners of Emerald Hill, Boat Quay and Newton Circus.

The last merlion was last night. I'm sorry. Didn't mean for that to happen. But then again, I didn't know you were such a featherweight. Haha.

Oh, the rambling alcoholic is back by the way. All bets are off! Posted by Picasa

Bet

I made a bet with a friend not too long ago. Whether she would break her abstinence from sex first or me, breaking my alcohol fast. We both started at the same time.

I win. Haha.

On the advice of Jos, I have removed my sliver of hope. Maybe its better this way, to cut it out totally. On her advice too.

I wanna watch Perth the movie. Support local films lah!

Day 3

Day 3 of being sober. I know its not much, but hey, I grasp whatever small victories I can.

Woke up to a slap in the face from someone from the past.

Didn't want to go to work today cos I this close to losing it in front of the Boss. Am fighting to scream what a dickhead he is.

Stayed out late for tea with a friend, then with 2 more. Friends. What will I do without them? Perhaps I would be a rudderless ship, spinning in the ebbs of the sea.

Sigh. Its Wednesday.

Bad Day

Someone up there is having a bad day too. Posted by Picasa

I Wonder...

I wonder when it becomes too much. You know, when you meet someone and you kinda like what you see in her. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't want to marry her or something... I just want to know more about her, to see if she's my kinda gal.

So how much attention do you give? Too much, and you scare her away, too little, and nothing will ever happen.

How much should one push? Come on too strong, and she thinks you are a psycho. Don't come on strong enough, and she'll treat you like one of the other men in life.

The dating game is very confusing. However, I did try the upfront method of saying, "I'm attracted to you. Are you to me?" Well, lets just say that didn't quite work out. And I was left like a fish on a beach, flapping wildly and gasping for air.

And so I'm back to square one. The "let's be friends so I can know you better" method. I hate this method cos its all about games. The pining for the phone call, the carefully worded conversations...

I think I'm better off dating in America or something...

Sober

Something I was considering over the weekend.

I might not be the rambling alcoholic no more.

Let see how it goes.

Faithfulness

Its like fate slapping me in my face.

Over the past week, somehow or another, a few of my guy friends have confided in me about their recent bouts of unfaithfulness to their partners.

The most recent was this morning, when a friend told me that he had an "incident" (well, actually twice) with a girl in his car along East Coast over the weekend. This girl apparently is smitten with him and acknowledges that he has a girlfriend.

He doesn't know who to choose. A, his girlfriend, has been with him for 4 years. His family loves her and I know he does too. The only thing is, that he feels that the relationship has stagnated over the years. It just ain't exciting anymore.

S is the girl. She is young, apparently, hotter than A and desires him. She is willing to wait, and at the moment, doesn't mind playing second fiddle. He likes her, or at least what he sees of her at the moment.

I told him to keep his d*ck in his pants while he decided amongst the 2. But...

I say its a slap in the face cos I don't believe in cheating on a partner. Taking a break from the relationship and exploring options is one thing, but to lie about who you are with and where you are to see another person is another. Why, is the world like that? That people do not cherish what they have?

But then again, who am I to judge eh? I wish him luck. Cos sooner or later, shite will hit the fan.

Tasteless Dim Sum?

Over the weekend, I went to watch Dim Sum Dollies with the Gang. I must say, I left the theatre disappointed.

Though there has been an equal share of good and bad reviews, I had expected the show to be worth its hype. How wrong I was.

The humour was bland and depressing (who wants to laugh at the plight of food court aunties?), the energy of the performers were not there (perhaps because the run has been extended twice!) and the finale put the nail in its coffin.

The finale was a Nationalistic event, complete with "We are Singapore" being sung, giving out of little flags for the audience to wave... A big 4-0 to signify our nation's age et cetera. I still cringe when I think of it now. I'm sure the performers were 'forced' to do such a finale because of some Government money they had recieved. But the response was cold. At one point in time, Hossan Leong was asking the audience to sing along and wave... only to a murmur... haha... I tell you, the performers must have been kicking themselves.

There were some parts that were good, for example the Bollywood sequence where Emma Yong changed so quickly on-stage that I am amazed on the skill of this theatre thespian.

Anyway, all in all, I don't think it was worth my money. Heard the second run, last year was so much better.

Something About Potatoes

It's official. Of all the vodkas available in the market today, Chopin is the best to down as a shot.

This was tested in a double blind test of the 5 most popular brands of Caesar, Belvedere, 42 Below and Smirnoff (Absolut is absolutely rubbish, so it was not even on the list) .

JY, EP and I tested the whole shelf at Forbidden City the other day. All of us had not drunk so much in a long time, till that night. So lets just say that we left with huge smiles on our faces - oh and there was a bit of retching. =P

There is still half a bottle of the good stuff there. Chopin beckons.

Work

From a friend... true?

P.S> I would love to write, but really don't have the time. So, wait till the weekend... maybe...
